Simple ways to “Green” Your Home
1. Green up your appliances – If any of your appliances are more than 10 years old, the EPA suggests replacing them with energy-efficient models that bear their “Energy Star” logo.
2. Watch the Temperature – Consider a new furnace. Today’s furnaces are about 25% more efficient than they were in the 1980's. And don’t forget the “Energy Star” logo.
3. Save Water – Every dripping faucet, no matter how small, wastes gallons of water. Something as simple as turning off the water when brushing your teeth will save gallons each time.
